Charles Blake is a member of the U.S. Foreign Service. Charles recently completed his second tour, serving as Deputy Director of U.S. Embassy Sarajevo’s Branch Office in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Charles is preparing for his next post, where he will serve as Assistant Information Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Charles worked as Business Manager for a non-profit specializing in administering educational exchanges and language programs. He also worked as a language and culture researcher at the University of Maryland and served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania from 2003 until 2005. A native of Washington, D.C., Charles holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in International Education Policy from the University of Maryland.
