Birigitha was a student at Mikalanga Secondary. She completed primary school at Matekela Primary School. Her parents Burayton and Monika are raising Birigitha with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters. In her application she highlights problems facing her family that include lack of piped water (they receive their water from a well). She is grateful to her teachers who helped her to graduate from primary school.
After completing primary school, Birigitha joined a diploma program in Food Technology and Human Nutrition at MATI-Ilonga.
Ostina studied at Mikalanga Secondary School. She completed primary school where she studied from class 1-7 at Ugano Primary. She is the daughter of Yohanes and Sebia, both farmers. They have a small coffee farm as well in addition to growing food for the use of their family. She writes in her application that her family has a difficult economic status, particularly when crop yields are poor. Her goal is to become a doctor so that she can help her parents and her 2 younger sisters. Her self-identified strengths include believing in herself and attention to detail.
After completing secondary school, Ostina enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Project Planning and Management at Tengeru Institute of Community Development
Monika studied Advanced Level Secondary School at Lufilyo Secondary. She studied Form 1-4 at Kilalaka Secondary in Morogoro. Kilakala is a special government-run boarding school for gifted and talented girls from around the country.
After completing secondary school, Monika went to study at the Tanzanian Institute of Accountancy.
Edda studied at Loleza Secondary School for Advanced Secondary School. She studied at Kilakala Secondary in Morogoro for Form 1 to Form 4. Kilakala is a special government-run boarding school for gifted and talented girls from around the country.
After completing secondary school, she joined at Nursing Program at St. John’s University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
Martha is studied for two years at Mtwara Teachers’ Training College. She completed her O-Level studies at Mikalanga Secondary School.
She went on to study for her Bachelor of the Arts with Education at the Catholic University of Mbeya.
