Abibi graduated from Mzumbe University. She finished Form 6 at Londoni Secondary. She completed her O-Level studies at Ruvuma Secondary School in Songea. Her parents live several hours away in Tunduru. For the last few years she has been living with her aunt and uncle, since her parents had a hard time supporting her in any way in her studies. She has consistently finished top of her class, year after year in primary school and continues to do so in secondary school. Her uncle is in his 60s and unable to work. They depend on some small business conducted by her aunt, but the amount is not enough to fully support her in her studies. She hopes to be a teacher when she grows up, after completing her university studies.
